Android 2.2 Froyo for HTC Desire in September has been announced by Vodafone and Virgin Media

In the race for getting Android 2.2 Froyo, one more, smart phone-HTC Desire is added and reaching the market with the update by the next month. But the update will be provided by Vodafone and Virgin Media only.

Virgin Media has been revealed this news through social networking site Twitter. Whereas Vodafone announced about the update after getting into the controversy about the same, couple of weeks back. Instead of receiving Android 2.2, Desire owners received a patch update for Android 2.1 added with irrelevant data which made them very furious.

Virgin Media has made it very clear that the update will be over-the –air in the month of September. Whereas, Vodafone has tweeted that the new version is under the scanner and they are testing it properly before making it live for Desire owners.

The fantastic smart phone of its own time-Desire will probably get a new life along with a set of brand new features like full Flash support, super-fast navigation and many more.
